ISO15919

Let's say you received a Baraha document containing Gujarati text which you don't know how to read. If you are familiar with any other Indian script, you can choose that script in Script Override menu. But, if you don't know any Indian script, you may choose ISO15919 in the Script Override, which will display the Gujarati text using Latin characters with diacritics as shown in the picture.

ISO15919 is an international standard for the transliteration of Indic scripts to Latin alphabet. It uses diacritics to map the Indic consonants and vowels to Latin script. IAST, which is an alternative scheme used for Sanskrit, is slightly different from ISO15919. Baraha supports ISO15919 text in both ANSI and Unicode encoding. BRH Latin font is used to display ISO15919 text in ANSI encoding. BRHDev01 font is used to display Latin text in Unicode encoding.
