Baraha is a free software which aims at promoting the use of Indian languages in the computer world. The software is dedicated to the eminent Kannada novelist Sri A.N.Krishna Rao (popularly known as Anakru among kannadigas). As a tribute to his selfless service to Karnataka and Kannada language, Anakru fans founded the Anakru Pratishthana. The pratishthana is keen at building the Anakru kalabhavana as a rememberance of Anakru and to enable conduct various kannada cultural and literary activities. A humble request to all Baraha users is that they make a small contribution of Rs 250 ($10) to the Pratishthana to help achieve its goals. We sincerely hope that you will appreciate our humble request to promote Indian languages.
